Gianluca Cugnetto is an Italian hospitality professional who has built his career in luxury hotels and resorts around the world. Although his name is often searched because of his former relationship with actress Hannah Waddingham, his professional background stands on its own. Cugnetto has spent many years working in hotel management, with experience covering operations, food and beverage, guest services, and luxury property development. His career has taken him to different countries and hospitality markets, giving him experience with both established hotel groups and individual luxury properties. That international background is one of the main reasons his professional profile has attracted attention within the hotel industry.
Who Is Gianluca Cugnetto?
Cugnetto is an Italian hotelier and senior hospitality executive. Rather than being primarily known as a traditional businessman, his career has focused on managing hotels and improving the guest experience. His work has included senior management responsibilities at international properties, where hotel performance depends on everything from staff training and service standards to restaurants, accommodation and overall guest satisfaction. His professional experience also includes work connected with major hospitality names such as Marriott, Starwood, Anantara and Relais & Châteaux. For someone researching his background, this distinction is useful. Much of the information online describes him simply as an Italian businessman, but hotelier or hospitality executive is a more accurate description of his documented career.
His Career in Luxury Hospitality
Cugnetto has developed a career that combines hotel operations with food and beverage management. He has worked in several international destinations and has experience with luxury properties serving travellers from different parts of the world. One of the better-known positions in his career was at Hotel Bellevue on the Croatian island of Lošinj. He became the property’s general manager in 2023, taking responsibility for a five-star hotel operating within the Lošinj Hotels & Villas group. The position was significant because Hotel Bellevue caters to the luxury market, where service details matter just as much as the physical property. His background in food and beverage also fits naturally with a hotel environment where restaurants, bars and guest experiences are central parts of the business.
Gianluca Cugnetto and Hannah Waddingham
Public interest in his private life largely comes from his former relationship with Hannah Waddingham. Waddingham is an English actress and singer who became internationally recognised through roles including Rebecca Welton in the television series Ted Lasso. The two were long-term partners and have a daughter together. Their relationship eventually ended, and Waddingham has spoken publicly about becoming a single mother while continuing to develop her acting career. Although the relationship has generated considerable online discussion, Cugnetto has generally kept his private life away from the spotlight. That means many details repeated on celebrity websites should be treated carefully, particularly claims that are not supported by direct statements or reliable reporting.
Gianluca Cugnetto’s Daughter
Cugnetto and Waddingham have one daughter, Kitty, who was born in 2014. Waddingham has occasionally discussed motherhood in interviews, including the challenges of balancing parenting with an increasingly demanding entertainment career. She has also shared small personal moments involving her daughter. At the 2024 Screen Actors Guild Awards, for example, Waddingham brought a handmade cardboard handbag created by Kitty. The family has largely kept Kitty’s personal life private. For that reason, detailed claims about her upbringing or private circumstances should not be treated as established facts unless they come directly from credible sources.
Gianluca Cugnetto’s Age and Net Worth
Exact details about Cugnetto’s birthday and current age are not firmly established through reliable public information. Several websites publish specific figures, but repeating an online estimate does not make it verified. The same applies to his net worth. Estimates can be found online, but there is no publicly confirmed financial statement that establishes how much he owns or earns. His senior positions in luxury hospitality indicate a long and established career, but they aren’t enough to calculate personal wealth accurately.
What Is Gianluca Cugnetto Doing Now?
Cugnetto’s professional profile continues to focus on senior hospitality work. His experience includes hotel management, property repositioning, operational strategy and luxury guest services. His career also shows how hospitality leadership can move between countries and different types of properties. Rather than building a public identity around celebrity connections, he has remained closely associated with the hotel industry.
Conclusion
Gianluca Cugnetto is best understood as an experienced Italian hotelier whose career has stretched across international luxury hospitality. His work with major hotel groups and properties such as Hotel Bellevue provides the clearest picture of his professional background. His former relationship with Hannah Waddingham has naturally made his name more recognisable outside the hospitality industry. The couple share a daughter, but much of their family life remains private. For readers looking into his biography, separating confirmed career information from unverified online claims is important. His professional history is well established, while details such as his exact age, height and personal wealth remain less certain.
